Welcome friend, I am Marcella Pearson, the one behind the lens.
I fell back in love with photography in 2024, right in the thick of newborn days, when time felt like it was moving way too fast and standing completely still all at once. With nothing to do but soak in every tiny moment, I became so aware of how quickly life changes. Photography became my way of pressing pause… even if just for a second. Like so many postpartum moms, I lost pieces of myself along the way. One day on vacation, I picked up my old, dusty camera from high school and just like that, joy found me again. I felt purpose. I felt like me. I had spent countless hours praying for that joy, and now I get to live it, create with it, and share it with others.
I’m drawn to the real stuff- the unposed, in-between moments. The way a couple naturally leans into each other. The quiet looks, the laughter, the forehead kisses no one plans. I love chaotic family sessions where kids are loud, curious, and completely themselves. Life doesn’t need to be perfect to be beautiful, especially with children. It’s messy and loud and imperfect… and somehow, perfectly so.

THIS IS MY FIRST PHOTOSHOOT, WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?
If this is your first professional photo session, know that you don’t need to prepare anything more than showing up as yourself. I’ll guide you through gentle prompts and direction, focusing on natural movement and genuine connection so nothing ever feels stiff or forced. Children can be silly, shy, or full of energy; those moments often become the most meaningful images.
Not sure what to wear? I’m always happy to help you choose outfits; pieces you feel comfortable and confident in, and that reflect who you are.
CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY GOOD LOCATIONS?
Absolutely! I love shooting at local parks from Perry to Macon, a private pecan orchard in Fort Valley, or even in your own home for a personal touch. I also encourage choosing spots that are meaningful to you; like a favorite coffee shop, bookstore, or anywhere that tells your story.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS BACK?
Sneak peeks are typically delivered within one week. Final galleries are completed within 4-5 weeks, depending on the type and size of your session.
ARE THE TRAVEL EXPENSES INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGES?
For sessions within 40 miles of Byron, Georgia, there’s no travel fee. If your location is a bit farther, I simply charge $0.73 per mile (round trip) to cover travel, based on the IRS standard rate for Georgia.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON THE DAY OF AN OUTDOOR SHOOT?
No worries! If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll simply reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us. Your retainer automatically moves to the new date-there’s no need to pay another one. I’ll make sure we find a day with better weather so your session is comfortable and your photos turn out beautifully!
