There’s something magical about a session that doesn’t go according to plan.
Leading up to F + I's session, the forecast wasn't looking promising. It had been raining for days, and I was convinced we would have to reschedule. But instead of making the call too early, we decided to hold onto a little faith and see what Mother Nature had in store.
Thankfully, the rain stopped about ten minutes after I parked. The skies were still heavy with clouds, but it felt like we had been given just enough of a break to make it happen. As I walked around setting up my camera and envisioning the images we could create, I stumbled upon something unexpected – a beautiful field of wild daisies just waiting to be explored!
Suddenly, the rain didn't matter quite as much!
The soft white flowers, the fresh green grass, the moody overcast sky, and two people completely in love; it felt like everything had fallen perfectly into place. F + I embraced the moment, laughed through the experience, and trusted the process. The result was a gallery that felt romantic, authentic, and uniquely theirs.
Sessions like this are a reminder that some of the most beautiful moments happen when we let go of expectations. The weather may not cooperate, timelines may shift, and plans may change, but that doesn't mean the story is any less worth documenting. In fact, sometimes the unexpected becomes the best part.
