My goal is to create more than just beautiful photos. I want this experience to feel relaxed, meaningful, and true to you. Here’s a look at what the process is like from start to finish.
A Quick Note on Timing
One of the most common questions I get is, "How far in advance should I book?" The short answer is: the sooner, the better! My calendar can fill up quickly, especially during busy seasons.
For family, couples, and portrait sessions, I recommend reaching out about 1-2 months in advance if possible.
For maternity sessions, I recommend reaching out during your second trimester so we can get your session on the calendar. Most maternity sessions take place between 30-34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible but you’re hopefully still feeling comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the experience.
For newborn sessions, I recommend booking while you’re pregnant as well. We’ll reserve your spot based on your due date and adjust if baby decides to arrive early or keep us waiting a little longer.
If you're hoping for a last-minute session, don't hesitate to ask! Sometimes I have openings available and I'm always happy to check my calendar.

1. Reach Out
The first step is filling out my inquiry form! Tell me a little about yourself, what type of session you're interested in, and any dates you have in mind. The more details you share, the better! I'd also love to know your budget so I can help point you toward the package that fits your needs best.
As a stay-at-home mom, I'm usually chasing my little one around, but I do my best to respond as quickly as possible. Most of the time you'll hear back from me within a few hours or later that evening.
2. Fill Out Your Questionnaire
Once we’ve connected, I’ll send over a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your story a little better. This helps me personalize your session and create an experience that feels true to you.
3. Pick a Date
We'll chat about dates and find a time that works best for everyone
4. Make It Official
Once we've settled on all the details, I'll send over your contract and retainer invoice. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date and goes toward your total session cost. The remaining balance is due the day before your session.
Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, you're officially on my calendar!
5. Your Session Guide
Next, I’ll send over a personalized session guide packed with everything you need to know before your session. You’ll find location information, a mood board, styling tips, prop ideas, what to bring, and a few extra tips to help you feel prepared and confident.
My goal is to make planning feel simple and stress-free, whether you’d like a little direction or more hands-on help! Everyone receives a styling page with general tips and recommendations to help make outfit planning a little easier. If you indicated on your questionnaire that you’d like additional styling assistance, I’ll also create a custom color palette and provide more personalized outfit guidance tailored specifically to your session.
6. Session Day
The fun part! Show up, love on your people, and leave the rest to me. You don't need to worry about posing or knowing what to do with your hands. I'll guide you every step of the way while capturing the genuine moments and connections that make your story unique.
7. Gallery Delivery
Within 72 hours, you'll receive a few sneak peeks to get excited about! Your full gallery will then be delivered within 4 weeks, ready for you to download, share, and enjoy for years to come.
